Just heard that Matt and Karen are leaving The Evening Star pub next month to new ventures in Bristol. Dark Star are expanding their pubs to that fair city apparently. They will be missed. I must try and get down there before they go.

The establishment itself is safe, though? I'd hate to see that place vanish through a greedy landlord or suchlike. (I must get along to the new incarnation of The Greys someday. It sounds like it'll be fairly different, let alone with an entirely different team, but it sounded like the new folk have a grasp of what made it successful)

Bristle's definitely come a long way in the last 10-20 years! Not that it was a bad place before, but there's been a hell of a lot of new investment heading into the city, turning it into quite a destination. I'd still prefer to live in Bath, save for the fact that'd mean terraced living, and all the fun that can entail..
