Nice choice, thanks. Tim and I were e-mail pals for the last couple years of his life. He had contacted me through my web site, having a shared interest in historic military airfields. We were several e-mails into our exchange before the topic of his music came up!

His musical career had a late burst of energy; he had a new album out (American Son), was playing festivals and doing some support for Robert Plant, and had a three-city USA tour in the works. We were scheming to hang out for a day -- visiting old military airfields -- when he visited Austin, Texas, on that tour. His last e-mail to me said the plans were on hold while he dealt with a matter of health.

Thanks! I was crazy about folk music in the 50's and early 60's and really love Joan Baez' version of "Black is the Color". This was a really interesting contrast!!

I've given Hamish Imlach a few listens now, and realised that he is a very good singer! And guitarist. I love folk and I really enjoyed this version.

I also checked out Morning Dew, which took me down the You Tue hole, as I call it, to listen to The Grateful Dead's 1977 version of it!
