Well I Am Back
Aug. 30th, 2014 11:05 pmWell i am back. Watched Dr.Who , thoroughly enjoyed it , had some food, washed up, went upstairs and then within moments feel asleep. Plus, i have two reports to do from my visits today. I managed to do the last two shops for the month in Lewes and Ashford. Had a great time away. The change of scenery did me good.
Couple of points to mention. I went up to Lewes from Seaford by train for expediency , which is five stops in ten miles , and only costing £2.60 , whilst a single journey by train of 3 miles from Teynham to Sittingbourne costs $3,50. Hence Kent is more expensive to travel by train than Sussex.
Second point is that Brighton and Hove buses no longer do an Explorer ticket anymore and now call it a Discovery ticket which they now have whacked up to £8.50/ I had an altercation with an Arriva bus driver maintaining that it was valid on their buses, this was the 333 from Faversham to home. I held my ground, remained on the bus to the annoyance of the jobsworth bus driver, thank you.A word with Arriva come Monday!
So when i alighted from the beastly bus,the 666, in Faversham i got caught up with the Faversham Hop Festival, so i had to stay there for an hour. No wonder i fell asleep. Laughs to himself.
