The police once again are being heavy headed over the very ill Asha King who needs quality medical care which, apparently, Southampton hospital were unable to offer and that there was such complex brai surgery in Europe. This is my opinion, but i do feel for these parents who just want the best for their child.

Date: 2014-09-01 07:38 am (UTC)It sounds like it is not *just* the police that are being heavy handed, but the hospital who will not offer the care option that they are seeking. It was the hospital that "called the cops" in this case.

Date: 2014-09-01 08:48 am (UTC)Whose side do you fall to, the hospital that just wants what's best for the patient, or the parents that just wants what's best for their son. UGH...
Not a position I ever hope to find myself in. :o

Date: 2014-09-01 05:34 pm (UTC)I do find myself thinking that the doctors, and others, at the hospital are probably to blame for alienating the parents to start with and, it seems, threatening that they would have a court order made to prevent the parents making decisions about the child. Surely they could have been less heavy handed?
And you would think that that international arrest warrant could simply be with drawn.
I feel very sorry for the whole family.
