jazzy_daveIt has been a good day despite my feet aching afterwards. Had a few beers at the Evening Star after the shift.
Met a friend i have not seen for over five years in the pub, a lady named Pam who had lived in Spain but became homesick and came back to the south in June. Met another old friend, Lee, a former DJ colleague as well. Had a good long chat with both of them. Pub was very busy as the Dark Star brewery is now twenty years old and they had launched a new beer this evening in which the first thirty pints pulled would be at half price.
I was one of the lucky ones to get a pint for two quid.
Rick The Hat was there too, without the hat.
Rick is the guy in the green jacket supping his beer. Perhaps he should be called Rick The Beard now.

Date: 2014-09-27 08:56 pm (UTC)Oh! Was that that green hopped creation I saw notice of? I dropped by on Monday, after the rabbiteering, just to check out how the place was doing, given I hadn't been there in about four years. Just as good as ever, if not better. ^_^
But how was said pint? ^_^ I've only had green hopped ales a couple times, and I've particularly enjoyed that freshness of hoppiness (Rebellion's "Green Shoots" was a great example, but didn't return this May), so this might be one for me to seek out. =:9
