I then left bro's pad to go over to Hove and do a survey ans . I then perused some charity shops but the weather was so up and down all, sunshine , rain, hailstones and windy, i ended up in a couple of pubs. The pubs were the Hobgoblin and the Evening Star. A pint of Firebird Brewing Company Paleface APA (5.2 % ABV) and at the Star a pint of Hastings Stout (6.0 % ABV) and a cider , Orchard Pig Philosopher (6.0 % ABV)


Mike gave me a book to read , this one -

Oh, yes, Philosopher! Good stuff. Though, I think I lean a little more toward Truffler or Hogfather (which the Star had a few weeks back!), as far as Orchard Pig's concerned. It's encouraging to see them appearing further afield - I've seen Truffler in the Henley Waitrose, though seemingly at the tragic expense of Dunkerton's wonderful Black Fox.
