On Reflection
Dec. 30th, 2011 08:05 pmThe last visit of this year done. Another year that seemed to flow by quickly as I reflect and look back upon it, and come to the summation that, generally, it was another one best forgotten.
Picked up a few charity shop book purchases, including a hardback copy of “The QI Book of The Dead” which I have in paperback for £2.50. Another copy of Anton Chekhov's “Five Plays (Oxford World Classics) and Alistair Cooke “Letter From America” (Penguin).
The book sales, after a manic December, have settled down to a nice steady stream, and over this weekend I will time to indulge myself in flights of fancy, or read technical tracts from science through to philosophy. I will also dip again into that quite interesting book from the people behind Q.I.
There will be no resolutions , because to be honest, they soon get broken again.
