Ha! I had a long snooze earlier in the night but woke up about midnight. So I caught up with two TV series, The Flash and Arrow. Now i am wide awake again.

The fact is, my mind will not turn off. So it looks like i will have to do some reading.

So later today (Wednesday) i have a visit in Maidstone, and then off to see Julian down at Fine Records , oh and do a mystery shop at a charity shop in the same street. This will mean a late journey back, but on the way back from Hove (actually) i can pop into the Bedford at Tunbridge Wells to offer up my fully stamped loyalty card for a free pint of beer.

Yeah, it's best to do something else,
and then try sleeping again later...

Hopefully reading will let you settle in and get some sleep...

Haven't watched Arrow, but I'm loving the Flash! =D I've been a fan of his comics for a while, and was worried where they'd go with this. I watched the first episode of Arrow, and it didn't appeal to me, but after seeing him in the Flash, I think I may have been a bit hasty as he seems to make a good Oliver.

Arrow gets better as the seasons go by (season three now), but yeah there are some growing pangs in the first episode and it is a different, grittier vibe than the Flash.

Which is fitting for Arrow, and I should have given it more of a chance I think. It looks better now

Free beer!

I hate it when my brain won't switch off at night. Hopefully a bit of fresh air (and free beer!) today will make tonight rather better.

Neil Innes and Eric Idle have a song on their album Rutland Weekend Television, which came out in the mid 70s, about Tunbridge Wells. The plot is that two American sailors are on 24 hours' leave so they are going to TW to sample the delights of the area. It begins, "The most exciting place in the world for sailors...with the most exciting wicked, naughty girls...more exciting than a book of Norman Mailer's...that's Tunbridge Wells."

It does lose something in my translation to print, and I guess for an American to refer to a place she has never seen is a little strange, too. Nevertheless, I hope you enjoy your free pint there. :)
