Perchance To Dream
Feb. 1st, 2012 01:35 amI might reconsider re-naming my blog from Jazzy D's Soul Notes , as it seems to be little about soul, or music in general, and apart from being book orientated, a constant diary of the antics of one cousin. This could be tiresome to some of you, so the rest of this will be under the cut, but feel free to read on if you so wish.
Whilst I sympathise with cousin's problems vis-à-vis his backache and knee problems his continual refusal to take heed of his frittering away his money on alcohol is frustrating., and albeit, exacerbating the problem. Not only that, but his excuses for wanting to go up to the pub seem endless.
He said that he was going to pop over to Kate and Kev's place tonight to see them and the pygmy goats. Whether he did or not, I don't know, but I popped out around 10pm to satisfy a hunch I had. I was proved right, back in the Dover Castle again, quad erat demonstratum.
He obviously went to Sittingbourne, before his visit to Canterbury, to draw out a further amount of cash from some other money he received. The bulldog will be down on Saturday so I will have some support then.
Whilst Tim was out this morning (Tuesday morning) I listened to an acid folk CD compilation called “Feel The Spirit” (Optimum). It has some great tracks on it , including Fairport Convention, Nancy Priddy, Linda Perhacs, Vashti Bunyan, and Donovan, plus a few I have not heard of before. One of my favourites is the Bonnie Dobson track “Winter's Going”. Some of these will feature at my next gig.
Well, after watching two episodes of The Big Bang Theory, and updating this blog, it is quite late now, and time sleep and dream.
