So after completing Season 6 of Buffy , i have started back at the beginning with Season One before going forward to he final season. That first season so far does seem a bit shaky ant first, and noticed it is only twelve episodes long. Perhaps it took time to take off as i only remember seeing it on TV from the second season.

Some good news from cousin, His hours that was cut from his working week have been rescinded as from next week. It means that the financial situation will improve a bit and less of a strain.

Whilst out in Ashford, found this hardback in a charity shop for fifty pence.

The first season of Buffy was only 12 eps because it was a mid-season replacement (coming on in March). Our tv season on the networks is generally September-May. But, yeah, you're right, the first season was rough in places. For me, it was the introduction of Spike and Dru (and bringing Angelus out of Angel) in season two that made it a must see. I found fanfic about the time Spike and Dru came on, driven to explore more than just the show itself.

I'm so glad your cousin has got his proper hours back. so, they couldn't do without him, hey? Silly companies, sometimes they cut back hours to save money but then realise that there is more work to do. I'm kind of angry on your cousin's behalf, because that will have already caused him a financial and emotional strain he didn't need. I'm glad his hours are now restored, though. Whew!

Curious what you guys think about shows from the States having so many episodes per season compared to show over there. Or at least shows in the past. Seems like a lot of the British shows I have watched had 6-8 shows in a season.

YAY for cousin getting his hours back. :)

LOVE the title of that book. lol...
Hugs, Jon

The villains are a bit too cheesy in season 1, they seem to take themselves really seriously, so it's refreshing when Spike and Dru show up and Spike laughs in the face of all of their prophecy and traditions.

Season 1 is still fun to watch for Buffy and the Scooby gang though

Agreed, but the early Scooby gang are a hoot!
