Bad Seeds

Talking about EN in the last post has lead me to my other favourite band , well one of them, Nick Cave and The Bad Seeds , which for awhile had Blixa Bargeld in the line up.


Choosing my favourite Nick Cave track is difficult but this one just edges it for me. The track - Red Right Hand.

The other , second fave track , has to be Into My Arms.

I'm constitutionally incapable of picking a favorite Nick Cave song, so I frequently default to sentiment and choose "Lament," because it was the first song of his I ever heard (in one of my favorite movies, Gas Food Lodging) and it started me on the Nick train.

In the first one he sounds very angry.
That deep voice reminds me of somebody, but I can't think who. :p

Funny you mention this. Just last night I was listening to Red Right Hand, trying to decide whether to put it on my top 75 of All Time playlist.

I first heard 'Red Right Hand' in the X-Files episode Scully was abducted; it played in the radio while she was in the booth. I immediately wanted to know who it was by though had to wait until the soundtrack came out (internet was booked by the hour at the local library). I bought 'The Boatman's Call' soon after.
