Morris Men in Faversham
Jun. 6th, 2015 09:12 pmSo , as it was another fine sunny day, i first popped into Faversham and noticed the Morris Men doing their dancing with sticks.

This last picture was taken inside the Wetherspons pub where i ha a nice Rogue Amber Ale.
Morris dance is a form of English folk dance usually accompanied by music. It is based on rhythmic stepping and the execution of choreographed figures by a group of dancers, usually wearing bell pads on their shins. Implements such as sticks, swords and handkerchiefs may also be wielded by the dancers.

Date: 2015-06-07 11:48 am (UTC)We do have Morris Men here and I used to see them frequently at Fold Festivals and such.
And I see you have Morris Women as well!
I don't know if I like them in black. I associate Morris Men as colourful!
