R.I.P. Bertie

Sad news from Catnip Cottage, home of my bro' and his wife.

Bertie , one of their cats had to be put to sleep this morning.

"25/3/2000 - 28/8/2015
Our beloved Bertie was gently put to sleep this morning. He was suffering with chronic renal failure and was very weak come the end. Duncan and Alec of Coastway Vets came to our home to avoid a stressful journey to the practice. Ros and I are heartbroken over the loss of our wonderful boy who gave us so much joy over the last 15 years. Forever in our hearts..."




He was such a lovely cat. I feel so sad too!

My dear friends just went through this with their dog. A hard decision to make but when the animal is suffering what else can you do?

Our cat died this fall in the animal hospital so we didn't have to make the decision.

Thanks for posting this bro. The house is so quiet without him. His soulmate Oliver wanders around home looking for him. Cats are so sensitive to the loss of another. Bertie really was so very special...
