That's part of the fun of big festivals like the Great British Beer Festival - hundreds of varieties from around the UK and the rest of the world, with people enjoying quite prodigious volumes thereof, yet absolutely no trouble of any kind. I really must get along again sometime, especially now it's returned to the rather spiffy Olympia hall, rather than the starship cavernous expanse of Earl's Court.
Though, for beer on the stronger side, there's particular joy to be had in the White Horse's Barleywine & Old Ale Festival, which happens to fall on my birthday. ^_^ With any luck, I'll be missing it this year, though, hopefully being several time zones away by then.
It's really quite a special time. ^_^ Everyone's eventually so mellow. =:D Of course, this is an event promoted by CAMRA, whose members are going to be innately keen on truly enjoying good beer.
I remain of the opinion that US presidential debates would be vastly more illuminating if it were required of participants to first enjoy a good few pints (or equivalent) of their favorites. ^_^ Ethanol may not be any truth serum, but it definitely does liberate the person within.. ! (And be utterly delicious =:)
Oooo! Is this some sort of "brewery takeover" event somewhere, or do Brew Dog now have an outpost in B-town?
If "Tokyo" is the same one I'm thinking of, which was present in the Evening Star's fridge a couple months back, I'd love to give that a try - it sounded amazing, but was.. well, it made To Øl's BrewBuddy No.2 look economical. ^_^; (And as I understand it, they're no longer? lupestripe mentioned something along those lines, but didn't elaborate)
Your friend lupestripe sounds interesting as i have checked their blog but v=cannot comment because they have F-locked it. Any chance you could get them to add me as a friend.
I've sent along a reference. ^_^ He's definitely a very good sort - I've known him on LJ since around the time I arrived here, and finally got to meet him IRL a year or so ago at a mini-furmeet at one of my previous locales.
