Best news of the day. Principled politics is back ,and if Tony Benn was still alive he would be a happy man.

Jeremy Corbyn Wins Labour Leadership Election

And this why he won, by giving straight answers. See how the other three duck and dive the question.

WOW, with 4 people running he got almost 60% of the vote? :o
Here's hoping this is the start of some good news now. :)

What's the whole resignation of the "front bench".
Are they the current party leadership? Or just the guys that don't like the winner?
Hugs, Jon

Mostly the guys and gals who do not like his politics, and being Blairites (that is friends of Tony Blair when he was PM during labour's neo-Tory period).

Are they resigning out of office completely, or just from the "front bench"? :o

Not certain but Corbyn in his speech wants all of them to pull together to win the next election. I think he will make a great impact much as Thatcher did for her side.

Now let's hope that your Labour party goes back to its core values.

I think they will. Corbyn seems to be like Tony Benn , whom was also a man of principle and stuck to his guns.

I don't know Tony Benn, but I like Corbyn's ideas!

If Labour get in, I hope they can jeep their promises. Unfortunately that didn't happen in Greece :(

The resignation of Labour front bench incumbents shows a breathless level of petulance. This was a democratic election, which Corbyn won decisively. Those who have resigned have thrown their toys out of the pram. They will of course retain their seats on the back benches where they will no doubt continue to gripe about the new leadership. Labour MPs should set aside their differences and unite with one voice behind Corbyn if they are to have any chance of winning the next election.

I think people are sick and tired of elusive answers, so when someone comes along with straight ones it gets very popular.

He seems like a good sort of politician. :)
