Had lunch on the island today, due to one of my mystery shopping companies, inside the cafe to a famous supermarket chain. I had the all day breakfast, and swapped the tomato for two eggs instead.

I got confused with another phone shop visit so when i ended up in Sheerness , i then realized it was the Isle of Thanet , not the isle of Sheppey, but that one can be done another day.

As well as witching the first episode of Agent Carter series 2 last night, i also watched the first episode of The Man In The High Castle, based on the Philip K. Dick novel I read this alternative history novel way back in the seventies. It is a classic case of what if the Axis forces had won the last Great War.

Looks very promising.

I am enticed in reading the novel again.

The problem I had with the Man in the High Castle adaptation was the pilot episode was absolutely terrific. But then the other episodes I watched were slow and deathly dull.

I thought the Man in the High Castle was fantastic and it held my interest so much I watched it in two sittings, two days in a row. My dad, who's a WWII historian, got me into alt histories and this is one of the most fascinating I've seen/read.

I'm crossing my fingers now, because I watched the pilot episode and liked it. Hope the rest lives up to the setups!

Yeah, that's my problem too. I don't have Amazon Prime. Hopefully, it may become available on other sources too. I would like to see this adaptation.

Ohhh, I heard it was a good novel. I like alternate histories. My first (and therefore favorite) was 'The Two Georges'.

Never been a fan of 'what ifs' and reviewing a 'what if' of the civil wars recently for De Re Militari hasn't changed that view.

I liked it, although the "sheriff" was too campy for my taste. There were other characters that should have been expanded, and others constricted. The Governor was a fascinating character, what with the perfect post war family that was "flawed". I won't spoil it for you...
