Yesterday did another newspaper survey in Faversham and afterwards met Tim and Karen and had a few drinks at their local pub which is just around the corner from them. The pub had a couple of newish real ales to me which i tried, esp the Black Dog ale which is dark and quite fulsome.Karen had the last 2 bottles of a locally produced strong cider.I shall call Tim Amstel Man now as that seems to his favourite tipple.

Well we had a few and i felt a liitle pissed like below.

But it was a good evening otherwise. Got to BRIGHTON after 11 PM so not quite the last train home but near enough.

Once Karen gets their modem working at home then i can email them and they can read the blog of mine.

Bought one CD from Borderline earlier. Basic Kirchin "Quantum" (Trunk Records 2003) which oroinally came out in the early seventies.

Today GC and i did an MS at The Odeon cinema here in Brighton. We saw "Failure To Lauch" and it was funnier than either of us had hoped for. Really surreal in places too. Frivolous enjoyable fun.

The Circketers pub in the Lanes is a very expensive one since my Old Speckled Hen cost £2.95 and GC's Guiness £3.20!!! Should have gone to Weatherspoons.

Picked up a few more cheapies from Virgin's excellent sale all at the knockdown price of £3.99. First off Pan American "Quiet City" which is a double CD(Kranky 2004), Fly Pan Am "Ceux Qui Inventent n'ont jamais vecu?" (Constellation 2001), then Joanna MacGregor "Quiet Music" (Sound Circus 2004),Frank Zappa /The Mothers "Fillmore East June 1971 (Rykodisc),and Luciano Berio "A Ronne / Canticum Novissimi Testamenti" (Wergo 2005).

Popped in to see Stephen at the bookshop. He had another migraine (again). He popped into virgin too on my recommendation and picked up quite a bit of Fela Kuti CD's which i already had, plus the Proper Box collection of cowboy swing music - four CD's in a box for £3.99. I bought mine yonks ago at the record fair for ten pounds. He also found a Martin Denny Cd which somehow i missed seeing on the Wednesday.
