It rained this afternoon putting a damper onto the weekend. However got my new Canon printer and scanner for the PC today from Cartridge World.

Recently in The Guardian (Friday April 7th) there was an article about vinyl junkies under the heading of "Rare Grooves".

The article was about vinyl junkies who rescue the music from obscurity in discount bins, charity shops and car boot sales.Their collective nickname is called diggers and the article was quite interesting and applicable as i too like to find that strange or forgoten music for small money (like £1 or 50p). I look forward to the Sunday boot fairs.

Well went to the boot sale atthe station despite the weather loking a bit iffy. Bought 4 LP's for £1 each. Various Artists "Homeland - A Collection of South African Music" (greensleeves 1987), Della Reese "Della" (RCA 1960), Pat Harrington Jnr "Some Like It Hip" (UA 1960) and Lord Buckley "Blows His Mind and Yours Too" (World Pacific 1961) plus a pretty good library music album called "Chart Show" on Atmosphre Records - not bad actually.

A real interesting bunch really. Nice condition in general and all play fine.

An image of the Lord Buckley Lp - a real find!!
