Charity Shop Shopping
May. 13th, 2006 05:19 amWent to bed dead early last night full of cold and sore throat.Took loads of Vitamin C and paper tissues. Consequently woke up early this morning feeling a bit better. Still sniffling and coughing though.
Did some charity shop shopping in London Road when i did a mystery shop at Maplins. Bought a few books "Hegel for Beginners" for £1 whcih might end up on the stall,"Buddhism for Bears" 50p (also for the stall),and "An Eye On The Modern Centruy - Selected Letters of Henry McBride" £1.
Found two Fall Cd's for £2 each as well. "Bend Sinister" and "I Am Kurious Oranj",plus Faith No More "Introduce Yourself" for 99p!
Charity shops can still be places to find the odd album or book of interest amongst the usual dross found in these places, and cheap clothing too. Some of these are cotoning on to the fact that some ebay sellers use them and hence are hiking the prices up on some LP's which are deemed more collectable.
Just noticed that Spiderplant comes from Nuneaton (a hungry town) which is about twelve miles from my home town of Rugby.

Listened to "The Whitey Album" by Ciccone Youth again. This was a side project by Sonic Youth and originally released by Blast First in the UK.
