Yesterday was my birthday. Gosh,it's the big 50! Ssshhh! Don't tell anyone. Bugger it, i have.

Usually i take the day off but due to the cold i had i was geting behind with work. So decided to go up to Croydon to start this large job for MR-UK which finishes on June 9th.Should have taken a trolley as evem twelve questionnaires (Being on thick paper) are heavy in my shoulder bag which was the cause of pain in my arms last time. So today i will take the trolley basket and hence load more of them in so that i can do ,ideally , fifteen to twenty per day.

Had breakfast at Weatherspoons in the morning and for evening Lorna and i had spicy chicken at Nandos.

Had a few cards come, one with that silly badge pictured here, and so far, pairs of underpants and a bath towel from the significant other (the wife). Exciting? ZZzzzzzzzz!

Anyway as the badge implies it's only a number- but sod of anyone who says i am old!

SUNDAY

Didn't do much really. Still recovering from cold and took it easy. Sorted some stuff out to Xcahnge at Notting Hill. Journeyed up to said area later in the afternoon with items (all CD's to exchange) and thus getting closer to obtain that LAFMS box set - or beeter known as The Los Angeles Free Music Society box set - which i beleive has contribtuions including Smegma,No Neck Blues Band, and others. It was a set highlighted and strongly recommended by Wire some years back. One more exchange journey shoul do it.

I received a funny email from AWN today when i got home from my visit to Croydon on this Met Police Crime survey courtesy of MRUK (or Muck for short). Well i would say its a bit too cold doing street surveys in just your underpants, and anyway i am not the right shape for it.

Read Steviecat's blog for Sunday with glee - couldn't make it to record fair for various reasons BUT WHAT A HAUL he bought. Didn't know that Emanem did vinyl - just thought Martin Davidson's label just did CD's only.

Anyway i am on a bit of an economy drive this month,so trying not to spend much at all.

Also,my friends are not attached to a significant other and hence have oodles more disposable income than i - LUCKY BASTARDS!!

Still at least when this damn long Crime survey is completed i will be somewhat more flush.

Still at least when GC is back hope i get more qualitative depth work.

And now for the Monday and weekend playlist.Basically the droning and ambient brigade.

1/ William Basinski - The Disintegration Loops CD
2/ Brian Eno - Thursday Afternoon CD
3/ Harry Bertoia - Sounds Beyond (from "Unfolding" CD)
4/ Cluster - One Hour CD
5/ Pauline Oliveros - Alien Bog CD
6/ Thomas Koner- Daikan CD
7/ Tactile - Incubation ("Inscape" CD)
8/ Morphogeneis - Solarization Bridge (from "Charivari Music" CD
