Stephen has reveiewed some comic stuff by Richard Cowdry starting with The Bedsit Journal #1,which i bought when it first came out a few months ago. Highly recommended as well.See his bypasszine blog for the review.

From Sandpiper Books in their back room bought "Sahkespeare: A Hundred Years On Film" ed. by Eddie Sammons (Shepheard Walwyn 2000) for £1.It's a nice large paperback with lots of versions of the bard's work from film and TV with photos of actors and stills from film and even quotes shows where the bard's work has been reinterpreted into forms, such as The Wrath of Khan (A Star Trek movie).Other examples, Romeo and Juliet becomes West Side Story, The Taming of The Shrew is Kiss Me Kate or Ten Things I Hate About You,The Tempest is masked in The Forbidden Planet (the great scifi film that introduced us to Robbie The Robot) or Prspero's Books by Peter Greenaway. He can always remain contemporary when needed as his works semm to cover universal truths.

Busy double shift day. Inside Habitat in Brighton during the day and then a few hours doing a survey at the Odeon in Brighton.

Downloaded some mp3 files from the excellent www.ubu.com website from aritsts involved in the Fluxus movement, such as Ben Patterson and Yoko Ono.They also have sound files from the Swedish sound-text movement courtesy of Fylkingen Records, and other people. I was hoping they would have the whole of John Oswals "Plunderphonics" but sadly to no avail.Howver they do have some of his Mystery Tapes as free mp3 downloads. That is the great bonus about the site - everything is FREE.It don't cost you a penny!

Bye for now
