Updating and reshuffling the collection. Have put all the Library Music stuff together which coukld include The Tomorrow People CD,the three Strut Cd's of library music from Chappell,Bosworth and KPM labels,The Johnny Trunk CD and the one with the book on Library Music, the compilations by Barry 7 of Add N To X,and other wacky compilations of mostly Italian library music. The two Dimensions In Sound LP's i will sell on the stall. As for the rest they stay. There is quite some strange and sometimes funky stuff in these obscure sounds.

Delia Derbyshire is on the Library Music Book CD as well as one the Tomorrow People TV soundtrack with the same track called "Delia's Psychadelian Waltz". Never mind. Great stuff.

TWELVE TASTY TITBITS FOR A THURSDAY

1/ Susanna and The Magical Orchestra - Lists of Lights And Buoys (Rune Grammofon CD)
2/ The Residents - Our Finest Flowers (Euro Ralph CD)
3/ Nick Cave and The Bad Sides - B Sides and Rarities (Mute CD box)
4/ Various Artists - Dig It! (Deram CD)
5/ Various Artists - Barry 7's Connectors 2 (Lo Recordings CD)
6/ The Tomorrow People Original TV Soundtrack (Trunk CD)
7/ Moondog - The Viking on Sixth Avenue (Honest Jons CD)
8/ Art Ensemble of Chicago - Tutankhamun (Black Saint CD)
9/ Charles Gayle Trio - Live At Disobey (Blast First CD)
10/ Bill Fay Group - Tomorrow Tomorow and Tomorrow (Jnana Durtro CD)
11/ Toumani Diabates Symmetric Orch. - Boulevatd de L'Indepandance (World Circuit CD)
12/ Pierre Boulez - Sur Incises (Deutsche Grammafon CD)

A fine selection of stuff that has been spun over the last week or so.

Had an email from my brother extolling the virtues of my blog but not fully understanding it. C'est la vie. He sent me a picture which i thought was funny.

Hmm,female It experts? It does not compute!!! It is illogical Captain as Spock would say.

One of the groups was cancelled tonight ,specifically the gin one, which is now next Tuesday so the £40 i expected was not available - but good news wil be doubled to £80 on the Tuesday.

Did more of Croydon on the now over familiar Crime survey.

Listened to quite a bit of John Zorn's music viz a viz his upcoming gigs in London in June.Specifically "Spy vs Spy" ,"Godard","Spillane","Archery" and "Kristellnacht".

I might get a bit of flak about the feamle IT experts ,but do i care. NO!!

Finished reading the Music Actuelle book from SAF Publishing. Best articles in the book were about Chris Cutler,Fred Frith,Jonh Zorn, Zeena Parkins, Ikue Mori,Tom Ze,Henry Threadgill,The Residents, and John Oswald.

Started reading Henry Rollins' "Black Coffee Blues".

Had a few beers at The Engineers after the group at GC's - pretty boring stuff but earned £30 out of it.

Another IT expert? probably not!

Oops better shut up de mouth before i got a sock from the Boss!

For those who do not want to watch the football blitz here are some suggestions. John Zorn in residence at The Barbican on June 17 and 18, or the Hayward Gallery look at Undercover Surrealism ,or the V&A exhibition on Modernism.

Alternatively watch lots of DVD's ,and music related stuff too. You don't need the sports blues after all.
