Phew - another stinking hot day but first thing this morning i was at Tesco,Shoreham (the big Holmbush one) in the chilled section of the supermarket where the yogurts are. Much needed coolness indeed.

Read some friends blogs esp.Bagrec and Steviecat. He bought two Lp's off me on Friday from my stall-bound journey to Snoopers.I know he likes to collect Ocora LP's but, would not mind getting a good set of Indian music on Ocora in CD format and well annotated - they usually are anyway.

Started weeding out unwanted CD's as well, ones which i probably would not play again such as two Louis Sclavis ones on ITM Records. However i did rip them to the PC as MP3's if i should need to listen to them again. Plenty of gigabytes left on the PC for that. Listening to Nils Lan Doky's "Friendship" Lp as i write (Milestone M9183 1991) and definitely not parting with this superb jazz album!!! Classy stuff with Bill Evans on soprano sax,Randy Brecker on trumpet ,John Abercrombie on guitars,Adam Nussbaum on drums and Niels-Henning Ørsted Pedersen on bass, with Doky on piano throughout. It hits the groove factor and does not let up. A stellar album and a WIRE WINNER in Wire mag 1991. SO THERE!!!

Just to say that England did beat Paraquay by 1 - 0 but only due to an own goal and second half was a bit disappointing. They have to do better to proceed.

Tonight was the second part of a two part adventure for the Doctor, but what good drama it was, edge on seat stuff. I know some people don't like David Tennant as an actor or as the new Doctor (they shall remain nameless) but i have totally warmed to this new Doctor after an initial doubt of thinking perhaps he was the wrong choice. Either way, with its new budget and excellent CGI which you would hardly notice - unless you watch Dr.Who Confidential on BBC 3 - it has become a much more fascinating drama than even the best of its heydays. Much more emotionally involved. The DrWho series since its reincarnation last year has gone on from strength to strength. It's a WINNER!

BOOKS GALORE FOR STALL

Found some nice paperbacks for the stall tomorrow as well as three CD's which could sell well. GC gave me some books as well when i visited just after 5pm today.

It's a lot cooler now after such a fine hot day but probably will be hot again on Sunday. I said i would help out GC with the Golf survey and we would head of to some golf xourses after i drop off the books to the stall.
