Off to London today to do another instore at Tesco,New Cross Gate, the same yogurt one. They actaully have reduced those photos of yogurt packs to A4 paper from the stupid A3 cardboard which came originally making it difficult to administer even for me (let alone AWN). Wht i did i got Kall Kwik to reduce them to A4 paper and add the cost on to my pay claim. So there!

I will pop into Berwick Street on the way - got more Cd's to sell or swap. Not using Music and Video exchange anymore for that as they pay crap on the whole.Selectadisc are much more genorous, but more selective. The Notting Hill one will take anything as long as it's a legit copy.

I guess that EB is back from her week sojourn in Malta. So we better run to the hills - Pirates of Penzance look out!

My mate Martin Archer sent me a CD to review for the blog which includes him in a group called Bass Tone Trap ,originally recorded in 1983 but only released as CD now.Previously available on a much deleted LP. Will look forward to listening and reviewing it.

Well toodle pip.

Earlier i said it was a Tesco, oops i was wrong , it is actually Sainsbury's in New Cross Gate i was working in.Very quiet day though, esp. in the yogurt section. Achieved only eight interviews in the end. Oh well

Sold some CD's and exchanged a few others (got rid of 15 in total),and found some cheap bargains as well.

The new ones acquired today are as follows:

Bruise with Derek Bailey (Foghorn CD 2006) - the last one Derek did before his untimely death.

Billy Jenkins With The Blues Collective - SAD (Babel CD 1996) for only £2

Space Age Pop Volume 3 (RCA CD 1995)

Terry Riley - Chanting The Light of Foresight performed by The Rova Saxophone Quartet (New Albion CD 1994)

Masaki Batoh - Colllected Works 95 - 96 (Drag City CD 2004) - he's the mysterious main guy from Japan's Ghost. Two albums collected on one CD "Earth Enviroments" and "Space Folk" - just as trippy pyschodelic as Ghost themselves.

"Saul William" by Saul Williams (The Fader Label 2004) which Wire gave a great review. Classic rap,not hip hop, closer to beat poetry, spoken word perfection infact.

and finally

John Hicks "Hells Bells" (Charly 1998) a reissue of a Strata East recording.Good post-bop jazz from a label that always had excellent jazz albums. This was only £2 from Soul Jazz Records, just to the right of Berwick Street whre i exchanged my CD's. at Recless records.

I mistakenly kept calling them Selectadisc - which is no longer around - it's Reckless Records which give the better exchange rates. So in all i only spent £4 with lots of change to boot.

Go with fifteen and come back with seven.
