Stuff

Popped over to GC's yesterday for a chat and to pick up some items for the stall,which will go in the glass cabinet whilst it is still there.Everything priced and i get 10 per cent or thereabouts. John popped in as well,and we had a drink at The Engineers.

Looked in Snoopers earlier and tidied up. Saw a guy purchase a wad of CD's including many i put out on the same day (including all 4 freebies from Grand Slam Magazine isues 1 - 4).They went at 50p each - all compilations of funk and hip hop stuff.


Got a freebie from GC,a CD she got from a charity shop for 99 pence - in the Nonesuch Explorer series "Island Music",music from Pacific islands such as Tonga,Fiji,etc. It is a nice addition to the Asian collection i have on the same label,such as "Bali Rain".This one was recorded by David Fanshawe,who composed African Sanctus,a piece of music i found totally inappropiate,and a pseudo-ethnic mishmash. He should have stuck to ethnomusicological recordings,and ditch the composer side of him.

Stall

Took GC's stuff down to the stall and placed in the glass cabinet,plus two 12" singles and an LP.Forgot to bring the soft toy.Next time maybe? Quite busy inside Snoopers so could be lucky today sale wise.

Well no sun out yet but it's warm and humid outside.

Plans Afoot

Rowan sent an email to all our co-stallers about wanting to revamp the stall area as its so cluttered at the moment. She would like three bookcases to actualluy house the books in the stall,so she is looking for a third one. STILL TOO MANY books she says so she is looking for us to weed out unsuitable and unsold ones. Trouble is i don't have enough books in there to weed out any.However i will go and have a look to see what could be filtered out or reduced for a quick sale

She is also looking for a hat stand for clothes,but i ask do we really need clothes on our stall? I will get rid off those "old trainesr" though despite being good quality Diesel ones. Footspa was sold by the way very quickly.

For Stephen it is more difficult caus he can only rely on books and records. That guitar which i noticed has only two strings could go and that tacky cardboard Star Wars thing can go!!

The cabinet thing is a waste of space too.! Not the lockup glass cabinet which is good for small or expensive things.

Anyway tomorrow what i remove will go to the boot fair in July,with GC and AWN.
