Good weekend for finding stuff and things.

Saturday working in Chichester at a hall test with Ollie Butler and company. The survey was about pastries and sausage rolls which people aged 16 - 34 had to do a taste test. We;ll we managed to achieve our quotas. I went charity shop scouring an dound a fine double CD of TV commercial tunes from adverts called "Turn On Tune In!" for only £1.99.Packed full of such gems by Nina Simone,Nat King Cole,Slim Gaillard,Dinah Washington,Sarah Vaughan,Marvin Gaye (for a Levi's avert),and lots lots more.Includes a Perez Prado tune for a Guiness advert.

Further down the same road in Chichester found three excellent modern classical Lp's for a £1 each, two on the Dutch label Composer's Voice, and one on the American label New Albion. The latter is an LP by Stuart Dempster (part of Pauline Oliveros's Deep Listening Band) and has two minimalist trumpet pieces using the sonic possibilties of an echoey chapel.
Superb stuff.

Last night had a mystery shop at The Odeon. Well it is always enjoyable doing these things and getting paid for it. Saw "Superman Returns". It was a superb exciting feast, with excellent special effects, and just absolutely thrilling.

This morning GC,AWN and myself rode out to Peacehaven to The Dell for a car boot sale. We set up our tables and waited gleefully for the punters to arrive. Quite alot of people passed by looking for bargains on this gloriously sunny morning. Quite hot too.At the end i made about £8. GC and AWN did very well too.

Then GC had a mystery shop to do at The Carvary in Pecehaven,so we had a delicious free meal to end the day.I had a superb yummy desert and a pint and a half of Tetleys.
