Had trouble finding the above place at Gatwick North terminal today when i travelled up this morning, and it seems not to exist anymore.I was meant to be doing a mystery shop here. At least TNS do not need a receipt for it. I spoke to one young barrista at a rival cafe company and she confirmed it is no longer here at Gatwick, not even airside.

Anyway afterwards i travel up to London to Victoria to do the Gatwick Express survey. Had to contact somebody to sign in before starting work,so when i phone him,he informs me the work has been cancelled and Oxford Research were trying to contact interviwers not to travel to do the job. So i contacted Steve King at Oxford Research and confirmed it with him. So another cancellation fee of £60 plus expenses for doing nothing.

OH THE CRAZY WORLD OF MARKET RESEARCH sometimes!!

Well it's been a good sunny day if a little windy. Got back to Brighton at 4.10 pm and thought it was a bit late to do any more work so i popped to the Evening Star for a pint of Old Harry, anice malty beer at 5.2 ABV or whatever they measure the strength of beer these days.

Then i looked around my favourite haunt ,The North Laines, and picked up a paperback from Sandpiper Book's back room for £1,a biography of Flaubert.
Picked up a Funkadelic Cd on Westbound from Oxfam for £2.99,which was their debut Lp i believe with extra tracks on it not on the original vinyl.

Listened to a great CD in Borderline, the debut by Spirit from 1968. So if the boot fair goes well on Sunday i will definitely pick it up,or the Joe Boyd compilation "My White Bicycle".

Intersting review of a Krautrock legend,Roedelius (Cluster) in the previous week's Guardian arts section which is a 31 track anthology of his work.http://arts.guardian.co.uk/reviews/story/0,,1813965,00.htmlAlso an interesting article about the muisc of Ennio Morricone in today's Guardian

Still one of the best film music composers around.
