Nipped down to the station boot fair this morning and picked up some good bargains, both invinyl,Cds,videos and books.

First off,by Oneida "The Wedding" (Rough Trade LP 2005) for £2 , spanking new vinyl. A Jacques Brel LP "Les Bourgeois" (Phillips 1962),bought for only 50 pence, which is one of his finer LPs from the sixties.Scott Walker covered quite a bit of Brel on his eponymous Scott 1,2,3 and 4 albums.

Isabel and Rowan had a stall at the boot fair. Bought a book from their stall ,of the artist Paul Klee "The Diaries of Paul Klee 1898 - 1918" ed.by Felix Klee (University of California Press) for £2.Keeping this one for a good while.

The other book from another stall in brand new condition, was by Dave Haslam, "Adventures On The Wheels of Steel,The Rise of the Superstar DJs" (4th Estate 2001),and a bargain at £1 as it retails for £10 normally.

Next up two videos by Chris Marker, both for £1 each - "La Jetée" and "Sans Soleil" (Academy Video) and less easy to find than most films. Will need to connect the old video player to the DVD-R machine to get a nice DVD to play all the time.Done it before when i transferred some videos by anarcho Dutch improv punks The Ex, and some George Kuchar videos.

Finally six CDs all dirt cheap between 50p to £2, The Creatures "Hai!" (the limited 2 CD version)from 2003 ,Kim Fowley "Fantasy World" (Shoeshine 2003),Arrested Development "Zingalamaduni" (Chrysalis 1994),Various "A Historical Debt" (Beechwood 1991) which was to aid funds in the collapse of Rough Trade distribution at the time,Ken Ishii "Flatspin" (Exceptional 2001) and finally Various Artists "Nova Mute Version 1.1" (Mute 1993), a double CD of electronica and techno, which will be stallbound.

In total a good haul where some would go to the stall and others for keeping.

Two of the CDs purchaes this morning for 50 pence each i have now exchanged at Across The Tracks for the remastered reissued "Bluejeans and Moonbeams" by Captain Beefheart and His Magic Band, which they had at £5.99 but it was a straight swap - so i made $5 on the deal. Or only a £1 put another way.Excellent! Fopp are selling for £10 so bloody marvelous infact.

Just checked Amazon to find that the two Chris Marker videos are avaialble on one Uk based DVD and cheap too,so i will sell the two videos down at the stall.
