Horsham Crate Diggin'
Oct. 31st, 2006 07:09 amPicked up some quality vinyl yesterday in Horsham - starting off with singles -
a funky number by The Popcorn Brothers "Popcorn Train" (King a Ling 7"), Faust & Dalek "Nummer 3" (Bomb Mitte 7"), "Soplerfo Sampler" (Crabouillier Records 7" EP) - wierd high-octane electronica with a slight drum n bass feel to it and one side and kiddie-style plonking gamalan tintinabulism on the other side.
Then in LP format - "Tarika Blue "The Very Best Of" (Soul Brother Records 2001) - high octane jazz funk from the early seventies , Johnny Colon "A Portrait of Johnny" (Cotique LP) - more classsic latino salsa and bugaloo , and another copy of "Passarinho Urbano" by Joyce.
Then a couple of CD's - Michel Doneda,Benat Achiary.and Kazue Sawai "Temps Couché" (Victo 1998) and the debut collabaoration "Angels of Light And The Akron Family" (Young God Records 2004).
All charity shopped for around twelve quid!! Bargain!!
