Mar. 25th, 2007 09:48 amDone some more posts to my WEIRDSOUNDZ site friom the likes of Man,Lulu,Roger Coulam,Tom Jones and the original Broadway version of "Hair" plus a couple of alternative takes on the musical.Plus a great James Last LP called "Voodoo Party".
Been to the boot fair at the station this morning dead early (6 am) and came back with a handful of LP's including said Man LP,a superb Gamelan music LP and probably the bargain of the day a Nonesuch Lp of avant-garde composer Charles Wuorinen "Time's Encomium" and Nina Simone's "Silk and Soul". I do have "Time's Enconium" on a CD called "Lepton" with other pieces by Mr.Wuorinen on John Zorn's Tzadik label.The Cd has a picture of a tabby cat on the front.
