another hot sunny day but who's complaining, not m?
First off, a visit to the usual Sunday Boot Fair at the station procured some real tasty gems amomgst quite alot of vinyl this time. Twelve LPs in total. Usualy around one pound (nine of them) or two pounds (three of them)
So here we go -
Osibisa - Woyaya (MCA 1971)
Kanda Bongo Man - Amour Fou (Hannibal 1987)
Focus - Moving Waves (Blue Horizon 1971)
Focus - In And out Of (Polydor 1971)
Sergio Mendes and Brasil 77 - Primal Roots (A&M 1972)
The Armada Orchestra - Philly Armada (Contempo 1976) - the label itself is not easy to find.
The B52's - Party Mix (Island 1982) - an Lp i have always loved
Various - A Stereo Introduction To The exciting World Of Transaltlantic Folk (Contour 1972)
Papa Wemba - papa Wemba (Sterns Africa 1989)
Ramsey Lewis Trio - The Groover (Checker 1972)
Harry Stoneham - Hammond Hits The Highway (Studio 2 1972)
Tom Jones - Tom (Decca 1970)
Phew!
L and I had a snack at Nandos (again) for lunch.Then she went to her favourite shop, T K Maxx ,and i headed North Laines way.
Another soundtrack LP from Borderline as well - Lalo Schrifrin "Mannix" (Paramount) as well as the excellent Redifussion music compilation "Gypsy Creams & Ginger Nuts, Sounds That Swept The Supermarkets" (RPM CD) and finally Karen Dalton's "In My Own Time" (Light In The Attic CD)
That's enough for now.
