Brixton Visit
Jun. 29th, 2007 10:04 pmIn London again today, Brixton, to be precise on behalf of Lambeth Council. After two substantial downpours the day ended up quite sunny. Had a snack at the local Weatherspoons, and got chatting to an old Jamaican guy.
Later went to Oxford Street to use the rest of my vouchers and managed to get the last copy of John Coltranes' "Complete Impulse Quartet Recordings" from the large HMV. Eight discs and a substantial book housed in a neat metal case in the sale for £45 - but only spent ten pounds in cash to obtain it as the rest was vouchers.
Also in Hanbury Street two soul/funk singles for 50p each , one by Johnny Guitar Watson and the other by BT Express.
Long journey back hampered by the incident this morning in Heymarket with the attempted nightclub bombing (near Piccadilly).
