GC and I were at the Mint Leaf Cafe last night. She was doing a PRS Vist and i came along as an invited guest (pin 1 to pin2 - which won't mean much to you unless you've seen "Brick"). There was a female singer at the piano orginally from France as she had complained that she does not get  royalties for her own siongs from the French equivalence of the PRS. She sung a couple of Edith Piaf songs, one accapela, which got appreciative response from the diners. However no scat vocals which i would have enjoyed. (Scat been reading me again).

Anyway GC and I had a few tasty Leffe beers and a skewered chicken snack - infact I ended up having three pints of this scrummy Belgian beer, whilist she just had two halves. Earlier on I was at the Evening Star anyway, and had two pints there. Well the weather had been foul and miserable all day long.  Constant rain all day. What else could you do?

Last night watched the last episode of the current DR.WHO series before going out to the Mint Leaf cafe. It was hinted that The Face of Bo is Captain Jack,or that in the millenia to follow he becomes the face of Bo.

Friday evening watched Godards' "Une Femme Est Une Femme" (A Woman Is A Woman), a musical collage and a paen to his wife of then Anna Karina. But i will have to watch it again befoe returning it to LOVEFILM as halfway through it i fell asleep.

Intersting facts about Anna Karina at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Anna_Karina , and i have more Godard films stacked up to watch in my rental list at LOVEFILM to come.

Watched a few other good videos at You Tube

- Cecil Taylor
- Cecil Taylor and The Italian Instabile Orchestra - brilliant clip
- Kevin Ayers and The Whole World : May I?
- Soft Machine :: Theatre de La Musique 1970
- Gong : Live April 26th 1972
- Faust : Rare footage documentary (in German)

All watched this morning as i didn't bother going to the boot fair at the Syation. - the weather would have discouraged many including the usual stall i pick up cheap vinyl from.

Today i bussed over to Saltean to do a myytery shop at The Saltdean Tavern for TNS - a full blown three course meal, starting with mushroom in three cheese sauce, meat and veg from the carvery (beef and turkey), and a chocolate fudge icre cream sensation washed down with two pints of Guiness. Excellent service from a superb eatery. Now absolutlely full and sated.

Listening to a Ravi Shankar CD as i write.
