Worthing Visit and Sunday Boot fair
Oct. 7th, 2007 09:06 am Saturday a trip to Worthing to do another Tesco Express store. Didn't have time to check out charity stores though as i was a bit late getting to the town to do this survey and by the time i finished the shops would have been shut.
This damn postal strike is affecting how we get work delivered too. One of my companies has resorted to using a courier instead of the usual postman. personally speaking, I think the postman have had all the assurances that could be guaranteed, but by striking are making it worse for themselves (and the public). People will find alternate ways of posting things, and the monopoly that they have had will disappear overnight.
The service ihas deteriorated alot and now they are scrapping Sunday collection from post boxes. First class is no longer first class (thus next day delivery is no longer guaranteed),unless you use special delivery. I could go on .. but i will just depress myself.
However this morning a gander around the boot fair at the station unearthed a few album gems -
Donovan "Sunshine Superman" (Epic) - classic album with some nice beats
Aretha Franklin "Hey Now Hey The Other Side of The Sky" (Atlantic 1973) - haven't heard it yet
Foxy - Get Off (Dash 1978) - still sealed - great funky title track
Francoise Hardy - C'est Fab! (Pye EP 7") - more Francophile stuff

A bit more expensive but £9.50 for the lot is really quite good. Quality rather than quantity.
