Croydon Visit
Oct. 8th, 2007 08:09 am Yesterday a trip up to London to do a Tesco Express in Croydon. Journey by train hampered by engineering works and a fatality near Purley. Had to catch a replacement bus up to Haywards Heath. Eventually got there and did the job fine and enough time to check out some chazzeres and record shops.
Not much around on a Sunday but picked up a reissue of Ananda Shankar's "Sa Re Ga Machan" (Fallout) from Memory Lane. Beanos was not open on a Sunday and last time did not have much to offer. Also bought "Adventures n The Mist - Rubbles Vol. 11" (Bam Caruso) which is part of the Rubbles collection of early psyche/garage-rock etc.
The journey back home was much quicker.
