Uptown Visit
Jan. 21st, 2008 11:50 pmUp town today to do some vinyl xchanging and a mystery shop in Camden. Weather was up and down with the rain but i didn't mind too much as i got a good price for the vinyl and a few books and got these at MVE Notting Hill and MVE Camden -
Quincy Jones - Quincy Jones (Music For Pleasure LP)
James Last - Hair (Polydor LP)
Johnny Lytle - The Village Caller (Riverside LP)
Steve Lacy - The Straight Horn of Steve Lacy (Candid Japan LP)
Flora Purim - Butterfly Dreams (Milestone LP)
Tania Maria - Come With Me (Picante LP)
Lester Bowie's Brass Fantasy - Twilight Dreams (Venture)
Willie Bobo - Do What You Want To Do (Sussex LP)
Larry Coryell - coming Home (Muse LP)

All nice jazzy, funky and latino stuff, and glad to get the James Last "Hair" LP as it is one not easy to find these days (unlike most of his others).
On the way back from Camden i saw the new St Pancras International rail station in which all Eurostar trains now run from.

This is my camera phone pic of the building. It looks magnificent. Now if htere was not a reason to go to Lille or Paris there is one now.Record hunting of course.
A PRS live vist this evening down at The Hope (formerly The Loft). Just got the playlists and buggered off again. had a pint of Pictic White Fog (ABV 6%) - I think it was called that - at my local pub afterwards.
