A  trip to Bexhill today to do a survey and time enough to check out some grooves from the chazzers and one real record shop. -

Various Artists - Organs Today (Ad Rhythm LP) - mostly cheesy cheesy stuff but has the following goodies "Funky Nashville","Music To Watch Girls By" and "Tchaikovsky One" and  was only 30p from Age Concern.

Ruben Rodriguez and His Guadala Jara Kings - Tequila and cream (Liberty LP) - latino take on "Blueberry hill" and  astrangely funky "Money Tree" and a version of "Patricia" for 50 pence from an Hospice chazzer.

The Original Brasso Band - Bravo Brasso (Studio 2 LP)  - brass band versions of popular tunes with their own "A Yorkshire Moor" quite a toe tapping number. Another for only 30 pence.

Tony Osborne and His Orchestra - Music For Romance (Rediffusion LP) - only "puerto De la Cruz" does it for me.

The Keating Sound - Canadian Sunset (Valiant LP) - a percussive latino "Felicadade" and a jaunty harpsichord and brass take on "Ebb Tide" are about the best tracks here

Barbara Dickson - Answer Me (RSO LP) - the one with a sublime version of "People Get Ready" and minted up from a VG copy.

Various "Stereo 99" (Polydor LP) - just one track saves this and it's "Soul Limbo" by Roberto Delgado. Volume 2 is better.

Plus one single -

Ennio Morricone - Chi Mai / Come Maddalena (BBC) - flip side is best,a mint one for ten epnce!

Still under four quid but nothing outstanding found.

Last night on BBC 4 watched the Scott Walker documentary "30th Century Man".
