This morning i travelled to Tunbridge Wells, felt really cold asnd miserable. Weather was dark and raining and i must admit, didn't feel like going, felt so uninspired, BUT as the day worn on and the bus got to Tunbridge Wells the ewather turned out alot drier and quite sunny. So did my mood.

I have been accused elsewhere (esp, some at VG+) that my posts are boring and that i'm a sad individual. Again that sodding use of "sad" really gets up my arse. So i shall try to be more interesting, witty, and controversial.

On the way we passed through Uckfield , a small town where last time i visited got that great Andy Williams single "House of Bamboo" for firty pence. (Note to myself to go back there one day,.) Or as Peggy Lee would say ,if she was singing 'bout Uckfield, "Is That All There Is?".

Anyway, did the job and interviewed some attractive ladies, and felt quite pleased in doing a good day. Afterwards trecked around the town exploring the charity shops and a couple of real second hand record shops to find something interesting. Apollo Records had some nice albums but a bit too expensive. However found a few LPs at a couple of chazzers for the price of an egg sandwich including Blondie's "Eat to the Beat", a live Marlena Shaw album from 79 and a best of Hot Chocolate (mine with cream please!).

On the way had a takeaway sushi pack with wasabi. Wasabi is a Japanese horseradish and it is the first time i tried it. Thinking it was no stronger than the English horseradish i dashed quite alot on top of the sushi. Yep you guessed, it brought tears to my eyes and that searing pain you get up your nose. Gosh, did i winch. Phew! Lethal stuff,Wasabi!!

Recycling

We at DMT house tend to recycle as much as possible but sometimes trying to be green can bite you in the back. For example,we have replaced all our old filament light bulbs for these brand new low energy ones cutting our lighting bill by a good fair wack. So it is good to save ebnergy , right? I now hear that when these new energy bulbs go kaput you have to dispose of them more carefully than the old ones as they are more toxic to the enviroment.

i remember [personal profile] burkesworks  saying something about this some time ago and stocking up on the old filament bulbs . Again it seems to be swings and roundabouts. Ah,so that is why they call it carbon off-setting!

At least we only leave one rubbish bag per week compared to some of our neighbours who throw out three or more.
