Been a bit of awhile since my last post but been busy one way or the other.

Yesterday a trip to Midhurst to do a job and it was quite difficult getting the gquota done. Checked out the charity shops but all useless. nothing worth getting vinylwise. Infact most didn't have vinyl anyway and one said go to Bognor for that!

Tuesday i went to that Emmaus charity place over at Mile Oak as a tip off from Carlitos.  Oh yes loads of vinyl dirt cheap. Picked up fifteen such goodies for £2 including a Bob Marley best of album "Legend" and Michael Jackson's "Off The Wall" (both very minty) plus quite a few Vinyl Vulture classics such as the not so easy to find "Hair" by James Last.. At rougly 13p a disc then you can easily make speculative punts for that elusive funky or cool beat.

They also have tons of books and some nice furniture and well worth checking out again.

This is the haul -

Alan Moorhouse - Rock Gently with Beethoven Brahms and Bach (Conour LP)  - a VV clasic
Clemenic Consort - Carmina Burana 4 (Harmonia Mundi)
James Taylor Quartet - Hope and Pray 12" single
Spring heel Jack - Hale Bop 12" single  -
superb drum and bass stormer
Gladys Knight and The Pips - 2nd Anniversary (Buddah)
Charles Aznavour - Sings Aznavour (Barclay)
Neneh Cherry - s/t
The The - Soul Mining(Epic)
James Last - With Compliments (Polydor) -
another VV classic
Antonio Carlos Jobim - A Certain Mister (Pickwick)
The Golden Hour of The Godfather (Golden Hour) - a
comp and a VV claasic but only fro "Shaft" theme
Michael Jackson - Off The Wall (Epic)
Bob Marley and The Wailers - Legend (Island)
James Last - Hair (Polydor)
Henry Mancini - At The Movies (EMI)

Monday finished another survey in Lewes. At the moment cannot remember what is was about as at the moment (touch wood) i am very busy with work.

Whilst in Lewes picked up these very cheaply for the price of a can of diet coke each except for Pet which was £3 -

Pet Clark - These Are My Songs (Pye)
The Golden Hits of Dionne Warwick (Hallmark)
  - with the strorming groove of "You Can Have Him"
Sha Na Na - The Night Is Still Young (Kama Sutra) - a bit scratchy but has a storming "You Can Bet They Do"
Fundamental - Countryman / Tribal Revolution 12"  - Asaian hip hop grooves

Tuesday night a free film event down at the odeon with GC "21" - a film about college students abd their lecturer playing blackjack in Las Vegas and beating the system. A really good film and it was free.

Weekend bought L a diamond ring.

Also sent off six free records to a VG+ friend in Eire, He sent me some UK stamps to cover the postage but still had to pay a bit as it came to a few pence under ten quid to send that little lot to him.

Bought a couple of vinyl goodies from Fine Records today and then on to do a survey in Hove.

This morning bought some clothes for L and a new pair of denims and cargo pants from Marks and Spencers for myself ,and surprisingly the two came to less than £25.

Forgot to mention that i now have a new turntable on the old hi fi - a Project Debut III with Ca,mbridge pre-amp. Boyth items purchased from the very good value Richer Sounds.

Decided to pop down to the Albert to see a live band as i could not stand seeing Peter Andre and boob face on the TV again. Such a pair of chavvy plonkers both of them. Why do we have to have TV space devoted to these pair of also rans?. It defies logic, captain.

Do i care what that couple get up to in Australia - no way Jose?

Trouble is, L laps this crap up - i just find it so mindnumbing.
