Our usual monthly First Tuesday Lunch Club went well yesterday. Dave Bennett,Lesley,GC,my brother, and Tony with myself made up the six. A good enough number. Any larger would be just a bit too much. We ate at  La Tasca again, but with a brilliant suggestion from Mike, we shall go to the Basketmakers Arms for the next month FTLC. As he rightly pointed out the Basketmakers has some great food and excellent ales!

A bit late but better than never -

All from the Sunday Boot - "Totally Wired" (Acid Jazz), Flaming Ember "Westbound No.9" (US Hot Wax),Alex Harvey Band(Vertigo , non-swirly),which i once had and sold again, and Trouble Funk "Drop The Bomb" - some go-go for ya! (Dare i take this to Brillo! ). All a quid each.

Howard Blake and Jackie Davies Hammond cheese at 50 p each.,J D Blackfoot album (Fantasy LP) - country tinged funky rock, and "Pop Explosion" (Buddah) both another quid each from the boot sale.

Paulhina Da Costa "Sunrise" (Pablo Today), jazz fusion and quite good really.
Funky Junction's "Deep Purple" VV classic cheapie,Manu Dibango "Electric Africa" (Celluloid) and the find of the day Nucleus "Direct Hits" (Vertigo non-swirly) for a quid each! All from same boot.

Odetta - Odetaa and the Blues (Riverside),loving this.
Nancy Sinatra - Boots (Reprise),first time i seen this in the wild.
Up With People - s/t (Buddah) , another fine find i have been after for awhile
The Best of King Curtis (Atlantic) , realy nice collection.

These were two quid each at the same local boot.. Weather threatened to dampen spirits after a miserable early start. Glad i got there early. Pipped to the post getting my hands on ten orig. Blue Notes going for £15 in goodi condition but beaten by local dealer.
