Worthing and Recent Finds & In The Post
Jul. 18th, 2008 01:05 pm Yesteday in Worthing doing a KFC survey. Got some vinyl from Music Mania, and then did a mystery shop at The Grenadier Hove. Had an 8oz rump steak washed down with red vino and then a beer. Today back in Worthing to do a late KFC shift.

Some recent finds and some through the post this week -

On my way to Brillo on Monday got these two -
Serge Gainsbourg - La Chanson de Pervert" (Philips France double LP)
Manu Dibango - s/t (Festival double LP) with "Soul Makossa"
Whilst in Worthing yesterday bought these from Music Mania, two for a quid each,one at three and the Tremeloes at £5 -
Harry Stoneham - I Fell Good I feel Funky (One Up) The best Stoneham album and hence the funkiest.
The Peddlers "Georgia On My Mind" (Philips)
This is the Live At The Pickwick 1967 but with a different sleeve.
The Tremeloes - s/t (CBS 1967)
This has a really good version of "Cool Jerk".Infact a surprisingly good popsike record.
The Best of Eric Burdon (Polydor)
Some greta tracks here with "Monterey" and "Don't Bring Me Down" being my favourites.
The Tony Lee Trio - s/t (Lee Lambert Records 1976)
Mostly a straight ahead jazz record but has a nice version of "Perdido" on it.
Through the post got these goodies -
Ella Fitzgerald - Sunshine Of Your Love" (Pretige)
Great version of the Cream number done live.
Clifford Jordan Quartet "Night Of The Mark VII" (Muse)
Storming cool Bill Lee number "John Coltrane" first heard on this site so i had get the LP
The Victor Feldman All Stars - Soviet Jazz Themes (Ava)
Another from the cahrts thread i listened to and now have the album. Highly recommended it is too!
Plus this moring from Sandpiper bookshop got this complete with 6 CDs no less for £12.99 (published price of £65) -
