I am beginning to think the recession is biting into the everyday type of market research job as my diary for this month (so far) is very spartan, or am i just panicking.
Still measures are afoot to reign in expenditure. Already seeking out stuff we don't need or not using anymore. For example yesterday sold two items to that cash converting company in London Road for a tenner, an amplified indoor aerial from when we lived elsewhere and a DVT USB stic. This will pay for the LTFC meeting today.
Also noticed that MVE also have clothes slops in Notting Hill and they will pay cash for good quality clothing. Much better than loading them off at charity shops where you get nothing.
I shall also weed out my CDs and old vinyl surplus to requirement. Made £20 on the Saturday but then with MVE you get vouchers to spend in their shops which i did plus a bit more too! So i didn't realy save then. However did get some great records including a few surprising ones dirt cheap from Intoxica, sp. the Wilderness Road LP.
Still no cheque from GEMM for the records i sold,so the two Jandeks aren't going til i get it.
I shall trawl those places where i did PRS visits where vinyl is being played and try to get gigs (such as the St.James Tavern) and earn a bit of cash that way.
Perhaps this is just a blip and by September we will be inundated with work otherwise i shall be looking in the jobs section of the local rag.
