I didn't go and see Ville at the Jazz Rooms as i was way too tired for some reason and went to bed early after the TV froze up midway during the first highlighted football match on "Match of The Day". Unplugging and replugging the cable box didn't help either,so i left it. This morning it's okay. Must have been some glitch in it.

GC's telly finally packed up on her and  i suggested she goes to Richer Sounds as they have the best deals and if you take out extended warranty it is far cheaper than the competition.

Friday was our wedding anniversary , 17 years in total, and i bought L a slimline LCD telly for the bedroom. She can watch her Filipino films on the spare DVD player which i connected to the telly. No more fighting on what to watch on the box as well, although most of the time i have my headphones on listening to music.

The usual boot fair is closed for three weeks, this being the second week, due to weekend enginering works on the rail lines of the network and hence closing the upper level of the station car park on Sundays where the booters do their trade.

So a it was a longer walk up to 7 Dials to the BHASVIC boot. Didn't expect to find anything much due its much smaller size, so i was quite suprised getting these.

Michael Chapman - Millstone Grit (Deram 1973)

Featuring Keef Hartley in this band this comes somewhr between prog and psych-folk with "Sea of Wine" being my favourite track.

Willie Hutch - Ode To My Lady (US Motown 1975)

Not played this yet but his soundtrack album work was good so took a punt on it.

DJ Shadow - Endtroducing (Mo Wax 1996)

Have this on Cd so it was nice to get a vinyl copy of it.

Slick - Space Bass (Fantasy 12" 1979)

Got this on a 7" but nice to have it in the full 7 minute version.

Dionne Warwick - Valley Of The Dolls (Vogue)

french copy to replace my scratchy UK Wand version.

These were a quid each except for Willie Hutch which was £3.

Also one single

Little Sister -You're The One Parts 1 & 2 (Stone Flower)

A Sly Stone produced slice of soulful funk. Don't know the year though.

Meanwhile this evening i  visited the Hampton Arms to do  a PRS visit. It was a DJ visit, and noticing that the pub had their own decks i spoke to Ollie, who runs the DJ nights, to see if i could get a gig there at some point, and thus i shall send in a mix CDR,and keep my fingers crossed.
