It's been another  wet dull day so it gave me time to listen to some albums in full this morning whilst doing paperwork -

So in order of spinning -

East Coast Offering - East Coast Offering (MCA)

Nice jazzy fusion with  a couple of funky tunes propelled by slap bass tightness, and one gorgious ballad.

Paulinho Da Costa - Sunrise (Pablo Today)

Jazzy latin-tingued soul and fusion album that makes me smile.

Maze Featuring Frankie Beverley - s/t (Capitol)

Their first album and it is an absolute winner all the way through. Not a dud on it.

Got this LP today for £3 from Borderline (and is also reisseud on CD via Rev-Ola Records). The Lp on Epic was originally released in 1970 and  this is a vinyl reissue on same label. The album "Wonderful Deeds and Adventures" puts Susan Carter in  a Laura Nyro and Joni Mitchell mould straddling folk blues and jazz with help from members of Blood Sweat and Tears. Two originals and the rest are covers but it is a wonderful remarkable obscutiry that deserves to be better known.
Go check the Rev-Ola website or Amazon for a review of it.
