Eastbourne Visit
Jan. 30th, 2009 11:09 pmA trip to Eastbourne today doing a survey on behalf of Ofcom, and after a cheap credir crunch lunch at Weatherspoons checked out some charity shops first and got these for 50 p each -
Earth Wind And Fire - I've Had Enough / Kalimba tree (CBS 7")
Fifth Dimension - Wedding Bell Blues / Let It Be me (Liberty 7")
Afterwards i checked out the indoor market near the station and i am glad i did! Spotted a record shop dealing in second hand vinyl, but unfortunately he is closing by the 1st March. Time Travel Records deals with mostly soul funk and jazz and everything was half price. Got five albums for under a tenner. They are -
Aaron Neville - Humdinger (Stateside)
Earth Wind And Fire - That's The way of The World (CBS)
Ronnie Laws - Fever (Blue Note)
Lalo Schifrin - Black Widow (CTI)
Della Reese - One More Time (EMI Columbia)
I have decided to go back there next week and spend a good day perusing the bargains. However it is sad to see another fine old record shop having to sell up. Wished i knew of his existance earlier in my collecting life.
