Last night i hosted (deputising for GC) a focus group on the subject of unfair discrimintation in the public sector and was aimed at Brighton's Gay community. Eight people turned up , four men and four women. GC and i did the recruitment.

Yesterday was the latest FTLC which we normally do on the first Tuesday of the month but GC was unavailable then so we had it yesterday. usual place was La Tasca on their 5 tapas for a tenner deal.

This morning exchanged some vilnyl for two new ones -

Various "The Folk Trailer" (Trailer Records LP)

Various "Parties Fines,A Voluptuous Journey Through 70's French Erotic Cinema" (Vadim LP)

Hot and horny funky music!

That i still get crap from a former site i was part of ,albeit  sligthtly amusing ,but getting very tiresome. Even though no longer part of that tribe my jottings still seem to rankle 'em. So they obviously still read my pathetic blog for such ghosting to occur. (Tongue firmly in cheek mode!).

So be it. Deux ex machina.

On a warmer note, picked up the vinyl edition of the David Axelrod anthology, which came out on Stateside back in 1999 , which inlcudes "hly Thursday" and a fine Lou Rawls version of "Season Of The Witch". A  brillo tune.

Mixed feelings over the football from Tuesday night - wanted Liverpool to do the impossible and they nearly did but Chelsea recovered in a thrilling 4-4 draw which was enugh for them - amking my cousin Tim  very happy. Hope they can see of Barcelona next.

Very pleased with the result of Arsenal seeing of Villareal!

Just another note - although i could have added it to an earlier one. The pub survey arrived today (at last!) and did a few interviews at The Heart and Hand and the Hampton Arms. Djing at the Hamp on Friday - plug plug! Most folks in the Heart and Hand were visitors today. It's a nice little homely pub with a great old fashioned juke box.Sundays it is free to use as well.

The Evening Star has got a new top to their bar and it looks like a fifties cocktail bar. Solid wood, oak perhaps, and to use an old cliché slightly retro. Had a pint of the India Pale Ale (6.2 % ABV).
