Prognosis (Wednesday 3rd June)
Jun. 5th, 2009 09:21 amBen sent mre a text to my phone on Wednesday daytime.. PROGNOSIS is back on again after it's tenure at The Great Eastern on Sundays. Wednesday night it was at the Northern Lights. Luke,Ben and myself played some progressive rock and funk stuff til about midnight,although i had to bring my two decks as the two that Manu had purchased for thirty quid were not up to scratch and needed earthing and one of them needed a new cartridge.
Anyway played some cool tunes esp. with Ben's Led Zeppelin selection. Luke played some wicked stuff by Zoo and Osmosis. I played wicked tunes from "B-MUSIC - DRIVE IN, TURN ON, FREAK OUT" and the latest Finders Keepers LP release Jean-Pierre Massiera
MIDNIGHT MASSIERA - THE B-MUSIC OF JEAN-PIERRE MASSIERA" which Ben has a copy of each.
plus "Time Has Come Today" by The Chambers Brothers, "Willie The Pimp" by Frank Zappa (both of which went down very well) , a track from Wishbone Ash,Curved Air,Can, and "When" by Grachan Moncur III.
A really good night and i hope Prognosis becomes a regular monthl;y gig as it was previously.
