The Quadrant Brillo (Sunday 21st)
Jun. 22nd, 2009 09:45 amWell last night was the last Brillo and at the place it all started in Brighton. Since Dan was sacked, the new mangaer (Robert) has geared it towards comedy and open mike sessions. He does not seem interested in doing DJ night as DJ Fossie nor Abbo and Ally spin there.
I must admit the reception from staff was not as welcoming and nothing had been set up. I had to get them to find power cables and the lead from my mixer to their sound system. Still we did manage start at the alotted time of 8pm.
Also they no longer give a couple of free pints and don't pay for taxis anymore. This is where the Northern Lights are so generous with admittedly less cash in hand but free drinks all night plus taxis paid for,and a free Sunday lunch!
