Sunday London Trip
Aug. 31st, 2010 05:02 pmSunday I went to London to take some magazines and records to part-exchange at MVE in Notting Hill. I also had a couple of mystery shops to do with Weatherspoons in Woolwich and Denmark Hill.
When I got to Notting Hill I didn’t realise that it was Carnival weekend and the place was thronged with people going to the Afro-Caribbean festival.
I managed to get through the crowds to the book side of the MVE chain and then the record side in the main Gate street.
Just got one CD this time. Jack Kerouac “Poetry For The beat Generation”.
I did join the party for a little while and blew a whistle!
Afterwards I took the underground and DLR to Woolwich Arsenal. This was my first mystery shop at Weatherspoons. Had a pint of beer and a glass of wine.

Afterwards , another journey over to Denmark to the Fox On the Hill pub and another pint of beer , a red wine and a cider.
On the way back picked up a four pack to drink on the train home.
A very satisfying bank holiday weekend day!
