A short trip to Faversham this morning to pick up some more shag for the pipe. Picked up another book as well for a quid -

Jeremy Paxman “The English” (Penguin)

Had a pint of Bishops Finger (5.4% ABV) in the Dover Castle but at £3.60 a pint it is quite expensive. Compare that to Dark Star M&M Porter (6.5% ABV) at only £3.50 a pint and you can see why I love drinking in the Evening Star pub. I really cannot understand why beers from Shepherd Neame is so expensive.

Nice to hear that the system at Fine Records in Hove is back to normal and that Julian can track my diary.

Tim and I went up to the Dover castle after he came back from Sittingbourne. We came back sometime after 4pm. Just after 6.30 pm I decided to make dinner as Tim had fallen asleep and whilst I was preparing the food, basically gammon with jacket potato and vegetables , he comes into the kitchen and for some reason makes a remark about the ingredients.(enquiring why I used mushrooms with sweet corn and carrots) .We then seem to flare up into some humungous argument. It ends up with me vowing to go back to Brighton for good and let him fester in his debts.

I think it was the drink talking and that by tomorrow he will have a cooler head.
